24 Jan Care… To All Who Need It.
The Salvation Army in Western India is hard at work supporting COVID-19 patients at the Evangeline Booth Hospital in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
Daughter of The Salvation Army’s founders, William and Catherine Booth, Evangeline Booth devoted her life to selfless service to help the poor and less fortunate. Booth successfully led the American Salvation Army for 30 years before becoming the first woman General for the International Salvation Army.
The Booth Hospital saw its first case of COVID-19 on March 14, 2020, and has adapted its procedures to meet the needs of more than 3200 patients with coronavirus symptoms since.
