We can not be more proud of all our staff, volunteers, donors, and local partners that have supported us through 2019, thank you all!
Every year in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows we see hundreds of people come across our door step who are struggling to make ends meet, and we try to meet the basic necessities for them. However, we are always grateful for donations that enable us to provide much needed items that are often hard to come by for many individuals and families. But our service to the community does not end there…
In 2019, The Salvation Army Ridge Meadows Ministries provided:
- 89,004 meals to the community
- 27,104 school bag lunches to over 130 students per day
- 425 families with baby necessities
- 552 clothing/furniture vouchers
- 167 emergency food hampers
- 118 people with housing assistance and 26 individuals find treatment/detox
- Temporary shelter to over 1,340 individuals
- 62 kids with the chance to attend summer camp
- 700 vouchers to The Salvation Army Thrift Store
- 2,018 street ministry meals
- 9,075 volunteer hours to students and individuals
