Kitchen volunteers
Every day we work hard to accomplish our school lunch programs, community meals, and special events. This is only possible thanks to our valued volunteers who dedicate their time to help sort, package, prepare, and serve food.
Special event volunteers
Throughout the year, we host a variety of special events to raise awareness and funds for the many social services we offer at The Salvation Army Ridge Meadows Ministries. These events are successful only with 8the help from many volunteers.
Emergency Disaster Services volunteers
This program provides Emergency Disaster Services to the community through the use of our Community Crisis Response Unit. It is staffed with volunteers and we have several teams ready to go when the call comes. Some situations that may require our Emergency Disaster Services include apartment building fires, floods, extreme weather or other natural disasters, etc.
Volunteer Drivers

Each day, The Salvation Army depends on volunteer drivers to pick up donations from various community partners and to deliver School Lunches to elementary schools across Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.

Help out at our festive fun run event—whether cheering on runners, managing booths, or handing out snacks, your support spreads holiday joy.

Assist in collecting, sorting, and distributing toys to ensure every child wakes up to a gift on Christmas.

Our Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds - if you think you might be a good fit, please reach out to us and we will set up a time to connect and find out!

How to apply?

Step 1. Book an appointment

Email our Volunteer Coordinator to receive an application form.

Step 2. Fill out an application

Once your completed application and criminal record check are received, our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you to coordinate an orientation.

*Please do not call to receive an application form.  Email is preferred, however if you are unable to view or print emails, you can visit our Community Services office for an application package.
