Not Just a Thrift Store

It’s fairly common for those who don’t “know” The Salvation Army, to just assume that it is, simply, a Thrift Store.

Once you dive a little deeper, you’ll discover that The Salvation Army operates in over 135 countries across the globe. They operate homeless shelters, youth hostels, recovery houses for victims of human trafficking, day cares, feeding programs, disaster relief, and so so much more.

However, this week on our blog we’re featuring an article on SANRO (The Salvation Army National Recycling Organization), and the philosophies that set them apart not only from The Salvation Army’s social services, but also from other Thrift Stores in general.
